Hyderabad FC & Borussia Dortmund announce club partnership

The deal will initially run for two years with an option to extend for another year.
In a historic partnership, Indian Super League (ISL) side Hyderabad FC have joined hands with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund, the clubs announced on Sunday. The partnership will be valid for two-years and has an option to extend to another year with an extended score until 2025.
This is not the first time an Indian Super League club is partnering with a European side. The last decade has seen erstwhile ATK partnering with Atletico Madrid, Feyenoord with Delhi Dynamos, Fiorentina with FC Pune City, Atletico Madrid with Jamshedpur FC and others.
I-League sides such as Chennai City FC also have their partnership with FC Basel and erstwhile Minerva Punjab had a partnership with Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach.
The partnership between Hyderabad FC and Borussia Dortmund brings in good news for football supporters in India, as it shows a long-term commitment of one of the biggest German football brands to the Indian football ecosystem. The German giants are expected to help their ISL counterpart in technical aspects, coaching and youth development.

With this agreement Hyderabad FC will become the Official Club Partner of Borussia Dortmund in India. A first for such a cooperation for the ISL outfit and the fourth one for BVB with its currently ongoing club partnerships with Thai Premier League Club Buriram United, Australia’s NPL Club Marconi FC and Iwate Grulla Morioka in Japan.
The grand launch of this historic partnership will take place during BVB’s Virtual Asia Tour on 20th August and will be streamed live on Hyderabad FC’s social media channels.
