Minerva Punjab sign Nepal's first choice international goalkeeper
The Nepalese shot-stopper becomes the northern outfit's second South Asian signing of this season.
Northern Powerhouse Minerva Punjab FC who are favourites to clinch the Hero I-League Title this season have confirmed the signing of Nepal's No. 1 Goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong as the Mohali based team inches closer to their first Hero I-League title just a year after their debut in the top flight od domestic football circuit.
The Gorkhalis custodian who has been quite impressive for his country is a graduate of the prestigious ANFA Academy, He started his professional career with Keltole based Machhindra Football Club where he spent a year. After showing impressive performance under the woodwork for Red Lions, He was snapped up by Nepal Powerhouse Mega Three Star Club with whom he won many tournaments including British Gurkha Cup and Aaha Gold Cup Football Tournament. The 27-year-old also featured for Manang Marshyangdi FC before moving Sri Lanka to play for T.C. Sports Club to play in the country's top division i.e Dhivehi Premier League.
