1-0
FT - The second half had no great attempts at goal, as Mumbai managed the game well. Rodgers' substitutions failed to make the desired effect and they have much work to do in the coming weeks. Thats all from me, Ayush Srivastava, at the Cooperage Stadium. Catch up with you son at the next game in Mumbai. Keep browsing Khel Now for all the updates across the I-League!
94' - FULLTIME!! Mumbai FC win the Maha derby!! The referee blows the final whistle! A well earned win at the end for Mumbai who grew into the game while Shivajians fizzled out. Thoi Singh wins the MoM for his efforts and for scoring the crucial deciding goal!
92' - Another foul sees Thoi Singh go into the book. Shivajians hoist a ball into the box but to no avail. Jerry then gets to the end of a cross but is offside.
90' - Cross into the box is headed straight at Soram by Karan Sawhney. 4 mins added into the game. Can the Pune based side come up with something special?
88' - The Mumbai FC fans and players feel hard done by, as a freekick is given for a foul against Quero, whose influence has diminished in this half. He floats in a cross which Pires clears for another corner. Time to throw the kitchen sink, for Shivajians!
85' - Thats the last bit of action that Victorino sees, as he needs medical attention for a cramp thereafter. He is replaced by Karan Sawhney. Meanwhile DSK almost put Kim through on the other end but Reagan gets a foot to it, to divert it for a corner.
80' - Good claim by Kattimani under pressure, after Shivajians win a corner off Pratik Chowdhury. Meanwhile Mumbai go down the other end and Kadam almost puts Victorino through on goal. Last ten minutes of the game. Will the Mumbai based side earn the bragging rights here?
75' - Shivajians put a ball into the box, which Kattimani requires two attempts to get hold of. Not anything extra from the away side since then. They need a boost of energy here!
71' - Mumbai yet again doing a good job of holding Shivajians at bay. No real opportunities to report of.
66' - Pratesh gets the first yellow card of the game. Meanwhile the home side replace Steven Dias with former Pune Fc winger Nikhil Kadam. The winger promptly comes in and launches a counter-attack from the freekick, going all the way to the other side and testing Soram with a shot. Exciting introduction!
62' - Meanwhile Shivajians remove their centre-back Sasa and replace him with wing-back Jerry. I guess they shall move to a flat back 4 now! Lets see if that inspires a change in their fortunes, in this game!
60' - Great counter by Mumbai and Steven Dias puts in a teasing cross just ahead of Victorino! It does seem that if Mumbai get a second goal, the game might well be beyond Shivajians!
58' - Rodgers finally makes a change. Sanju, who started the game in a lively manner before disappearing, is replaced by young Indian forward Sumit Passi.
55' - Good teasing ball into the box by Quero, begging for someone from his team to just get their head on. Kattimani is grateful to see the ball end up in his clutches!
52' - Good play down the left flank by Mumbai, taking Dhot to the cleaners there. Good ball into the box as well, but Victorino loses composure at a crucial moment and his shot fizzles wide. Should have done better there!
49' - Becoming an increasingly midfield dominated battle. Quero then finds Kim with a looping ball at the back post. His headed effort flies just over the bar. The home side supporters breathe a sigh of relief.
46' - DSK kick us off. No changes as of now
45'+2 - HT now! Mumbai FC grew into the game and took the lead through Thoi Singh. DSK dominated possession but after an initial period of sustained pressure, fizzled out.
43' - A midfield battle going on now. DSK seem pretty clueless on how to get past this defensive line of Mumbai as of now. maybe they need fresh inspiration from the bench
39' - Good counter attack by Mumbai sees Dias through on goal, but the former Indian international fails to hit the target. Should have atleast tested the goalkeeper from there!
35' - Mumbai trying to kill off the pressure exerted by their opposition by keeping hold of the possession. The domination od DSK is fizzling out as we enter the last ten minutes of the half.
31' - Quero really dominating the game here. He shoots wide after previously setting up his strike partner Kim, who misjudged the flight of the ball and missed a good chance! Chhangte then skies a effort from just inside the box, over the bar!
29' - The Pune side really piling on the pressure. Mawihmingthanga first powers through midfield and unleshes a shot that Kattimani does well to hold on to. The Goan does even better to palm away a powerful header by Kim, from a precise cross by Sanju. The away side need to make this pressure count!
26' - Game opening up here! Mumbai FC going direct to bypass the midfield battle. Pratesh gets to a knockdown and powers his shot just wide. Quero's freekick on the other end causes problems as well, before Lalthathanga powers a shot just over the bar!
22' - GOAL!!! They have been getting back into the game and Thoi Singh thunders a powerful effort in off the bar to put the hosts ahead! Soiram got a hand to it but couldn't stop it from going in! Great effort by the midfielder!
20' - And just as we say it, Victorino with a flash shot past the post after it kindly fell in his direction
18' - Mumbai FC settling into the contest. More of a midfield battle now. But Steven Dias and Victorino have hardly seen any of the ball so far!
14' - Reagan with the first attempt on goal for the home side! He is allowed to go unchallenged down the right wing and with not many options around him, takes a shot which is easily covered by Soiram.
10' - OFF THE LINE! Mumbai really finding it difficult to stay in the game now. DSK win the first corner of the game and Quero's pinpoint delivery is met by McFaul. Kashyap's men luckily have a man on the line who clears the danger before Kim Yong almost is through on goal but stopped by the offside flag. The home side are living dangerously here!
8' - All DSK so far. Sanju creating havoc down the right wing. his good cross into the box is not met by any of his teammates in the box and Mumbai hack clear.
6' - Mawihmingthanga with the first shot of the match. Well off the mark, and the midfielder is disappointed with himself for letting possession get away so loosely.
4' - DSK, as expected, start with 3 at the back. So far they have dominated the early possession but nothing has come of it.
1 Min - And we are underway! Mumbai FC kick us off! Reagan Singh with a hopeful ball into the box, collected by Soram
