The 28-year-old made 10 appearances for Sudeva Delhi last season.

I-League outfit Gokulam Kerala have completed the signing of Rakshit Dagar, Khel Now can confirm. The goalkeeper was a part of the Sudeva Delhi squad in the 2020-21 season.

"Rakshit Dagar has joined Gokulam Kerala ahead of the upcoming season," a source close to the developments informed Khel Now. Dagar kick-started his football career at United Sikkim, before joining DSK Shivajians and later Kenkre FC. Ahead of the 2017-18 season he joined Minerva Punjab and eventually won the I-League with them. He made nine appearances and kept five clean-sheets for Punjab that season, before joining East Bengal the following year.

Across two seasons, Dagar played 18 league matches for the Red and Gold Brigade. He played a particularly important role in the 2018-19 season, when his team finished runners-up, just one point behind champions Chennai City.

The 28-year-old joined Sudeva Delhi last year. The club from Delhi were new entrants into the I-League and he made 10 appearances for them in the 2020-21 season. He will now join Gokulam Kerala, who recently parted ways with their first-choice shot-stopper Ubaid CK. Ubaid has already found a new home at Sreenidhi Deccan FC.

Gokulam Kerala's pre-season preparations

The Malabarians had a fantastic I-League 2020-21, being crowned champions at the end of an impressive campaign. They have also qualified for AFC Cup 2022 as a result of their league success.

However, not much positive news has emerged from the GKFC camp since. The club have been troubled by an exodus of key players in Ubaid, Sebastian Thangmuansang, Deepak Devrani, Naocha Singh, Shibil Muhammed, Vincy Barretto and so on. They are currently working on filling the void left by the departing players, having roped in Muhammed Rafi, Muhammed Uvais, Deepak Singh and Krishnananda Singh.

Additionally, they have also handed contract extensions to head coach Vincenzo Alberto Annese and Afghan midfielder Sharif Mukhammad.
