Forward Henry Kisseka set to sign for Aizawl FC

Ugandan forward Henry Kisseka is set to pen a one-year contract with I-League side Aizawl FC, Khel Now can confirm. The 33-year-old has a rich experience in featuring for different clubs in the country which include Mohun Bagan, Gokulam Kerala, and Mohammedan SC.
"Henry Kisseka will pen a contract with Aizawl FC", a source close to the development has informed Khel Now. He’ll feature for the people's club in the upcoming I-League campaign.
About the Player
Henry Kisseka started his footballing career with the Ugandan-based SC Villa Kampala.
In the year 2008, he signed his first professional contract with URA FC. He later plied his trade for different clubs in Vietnam where he spent a quarter of his professional career.
The forward made his move to India in 2018 by signing for Gokulam Kerala. He established himself in India while playing for the Malabarians. He featured in a total of 27 matches for the club in two stints during which he scored 14 goals and assisted four times.
Kisseka's success on Indian soil with Gokulam Kerala attracted interest from Mohun Bagan which led to the player signing for the Mariners in the summer window of 2018. He featured for the Kolkata giant in the 2018-19 I-League campaign. During the Calcutta Football League, Kisseka scored against arch-rivals East Bengal as well. The player also enjoyed a short stint at Bhawanipore FC.
Henry Kisseka featured for Mohammedan SC in the previous season. The forward managed to bag only a single appearance for the Black Panthers.
Aizawl FC's preseason preparation
Aizawl FC, under the guidance of head coach Stanley Rozario, are preparing well for the upcoming I-League. The club secured an eighth-place finish last season.
However, this season many local talents have been added to the squad. Some of the key signings include defender Lalchhawnkima and Zodingliana Ralte. The club recently extended the contract of K. Lalmalsawma till 2023. Another notable arrival is that of central-midfielder Lalchhanhima Sailo who previously played for the Indian Arrows.
