Rajasthan United’s preparations for I-League 2022-23
The club from Rajasthan has left everyone in splits with their performances in the ongoing Durand Cup 2022. After an excellent debut I-League season, Rajasthan United kicked off their Durand Cup campaign with a 3-2 win over ATK Mohun Bagan. They followed it with a goalless draw against East Bengal.
They lost their previous clash against Mumbai City. But sit second in their group and remain in contention for the knockout stage. Rajasthan United will play their final group stage match against the Indian Navy on September 5.
In the transfer market, Rajasthan United has made some smart acquisitions with the signings of Novin Gurung, Pintu Mahata, Surchandra Singh, and Britto PM. They have also signed former Bashundhara Kings forward Nuha Marong, Kyrgyz midfielder Bektur Amangeldiev, and Aidar M as their foreigners so far.
The club had previously signed Niraj Kumar, but sold him to Odisha FC for an undisclosed transfer fee. Another exciting coming from the Rajasthan base is the addition of goalkeeper Subhajit Bhasu from the Indian Airforce. The custodian will guard the post for Rajasthan United FC this season.
