The Black Panthers continue to strengthen their squad with the aim to qualify for the I-League next season.

Ahead of the 2nd Division tournament, Mohammedan SC have once again strengthened their Indian roster by signing experienced midfielder Liandala Sena Fanai, versatile full-back Samuel Shadap and talented Mizo goalscorer MS Dawngliana.

Sena Fanai has been in and around the I-League circuit for quite a while. The 26-year old has plied his trade for clubs like Chennai City FC, Aizawl FC, Minerva Punjab and was lastly associated with 2nd Division outfit South United FC.

Fanai's addition will lent a lot of knowhow to the squad and will allow head coach Yan Law to swipe through multiple options in order to qualify for the I-League in the upcoming season.

Moving on, the Black Panthers have also snapped up a proper domestic goalscorer in MS Dawngliana. The Mizo forward is known for his knack of scoring goals consistently in the Mizoram Premier League for his former club Chanmari FC.

Dawngliana has also plied his trade for Chhinga Veng and now by joining the Black Panthers this season, the 27-year-old will hope that he can continue his goalscoring form.

Further, Samuel Shadap has to be the most high-profile signing among the three. The 27-year-old full-back has been in the circuit for a long time. Earlier in his career, he played for teams like Sagolband United and Shillong Lajong. Then, he got a call-up from Indian Super League outfit Kerala Blasters. In the 17-18 ISL season, Shadap featured in four matches for the Blasters. However, he was demoted to the Blasters Reserves, with whom he played in the 2nd Division League.

He then had a short stint with Calcutta Football League club Southern Samity, where he performed reasonably well. Following a decent CFL campaign, Shadap was signed by Punjab FC last season, where he played under Law in the I-League and made 11 appearances.

Lastly, India U-19 centre-back Anwar Ali Jr is set to make a comeback in football after he took a sabbatical for medical reasons. The former Mumbai City man has signed for the Black Panthers for the upcoming season.
