Mohammedan Sporting Club sign full-back Lalramchullova
The 25-year-old failed to register a single appearance for SC East Bengal in the ISL last season.
Mohammedan Sporting Club have completed the signing of fullback Lalramchullova. Known for his composure in defence and bombing runs while going forward, Mohammedan SC fans will be overjoyed following Chullova’s signing.
“Chullova comes with a wealth of experience that will be very handy for us. It’s going to be a busy and a tough season for us and while it was important to add depth to the squad. We wanted to be sure about the quality being brought in and Chullova ticks that box. He is someone who will stabilize our defence and strengthen the team.” said Mohammedan SC General Secretary Mr. Danish Iqbal.
Lalramchullova shot to fame with his performances for Aizawl FC during 2016/17 I-League. He was then signed by East Bengal on a two-year contract. His time with East Bengal saw him lift the Calcutta Football League title in 2017/18.
Ahead of 2019/20 I-League Chullova joined Mohun Bagan. Chullova went on to win his second I-League title with the Mariners though he had fallen out of favour as the first choice left-back.
Hence, the Aizawl born player decided to return to his former stomping ground. However, due to a knee injury he was forced sit out the whole season. Now the 25-year-old will be aiming to resurrect his career at Mohammedan SC.

However, injuries forced him to sit out the entirety of the season. He literally made no appearances for the red and gold brigade in what was a disappointing debut campaign for them. Joining Mohammedan SC will help Lalramchullova get more first team action.
Known for his versatility, it is clear that Chullova has a winning mentality, which Mohammedan SC will look to benefit from in the season ahead.
