William Twala's career

Twala started his career with South African side Orlando Pirates in 2011. Between 2011-2014, William went on multiple loans to Chippa United and Golden Arrows.

In 2014, he penned a permanent move to Chippa United. Twala played 40 matches for them, but found the net only thrice and assisted two goals. He moved to Kaizer Chiefs in the January transfer window next season and had a decent campaign for them in the domestic league, with two goals and one assist in 16 matches.

After two seasons with Kaizer Chiefs, Twalka moved to Maritzburg United on loan in the latter half of the 2017-18 season, but a foot injury cut short his spell there. He eventually left Kaizer Chiefs and moved to Free State Stars. However, Twala struggled for game-time there and could play only six games before a return to former club Chippa United once again on a free transfer.

For the Chilli Boys, Twala made 26 appearances, scored four goals and assisted once in the 2019-20 season across all competitions. He next joined former Iranian champions Erbil SC on a short spell and from there he went to Pretoria Callies.

His tally of 11 goals and 13 assists in 146 South African first division games gives a massive boost to his CV. Twala has also assisted three goals in 11 cup games.
