Playing their first match in the I League 2nd Division, the debutants, Rajasthan Football Club went up against league veterans Lonestar Kashmir in Katra. The squad from Rajasthan is being led by the experienced Mumtaz Akhta, a former I League 2nd Division winner and is supported by Nitin Meel, former I League and India youth team players. Utkarsh from Rajasthan FC made a dazzling run in the Lonestart half before earning his side a corner. In the resulting corner, Bupinder beautifully curved the ball inside the goal area where it was met by Arvind Sharma. In the 5th minute, Arvind Sharma opening the scoring for Rajasthan FC against Lonestar Kashmir. Continuing their impressive playing style, Ishaan Sahi a product of Rajasthan FC’s technical partners Play Perfect Football (Spain) scored a screamer from 35 yards out in the 41st minute. The scoreline remained 2-0 at the same at half time. In the second half both teams shared equal possession in the initial minutes but some controlled game play by Rajasthan FC helped them to hold on and secure their maiden win in their debut match.
