I think we were quite lucky to get a point -Dave Rogers

The Englishman was honest in his side's assessment of the team's performance...
DSK Shivajians were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Churchill Brothers on Saturday. It had been the home side who had taken the lead in the first half but were lucky to settle for a draw after a resurgent visiting side rallied to get back into the game. Eventually, both teams walked away happily, having earned a point each.
Dave Rogers, manager of DSK Shivajians was in agreement, stating that Churchill were strong opponentsx. "I told the boys that this (Churchill Brothers) is a good team. They have been a bit unlucky in the last games," he opined.
The 41-year old admitted his side were lucky to get a point, praising the opposition side. "I thought we had a sloppy start. It's nothing to be disrespectful of the boys, but it's one of those games that we started slow. I'll give Churchill all the credit who were the better team today. I think we were quite lucky to get a point," he admitted.
The Liverpool born coach also felt his side are unique, in terms of their attacking intent. The Pune team love to play with a free flowing offence, but their defensive organisation has at times let the side down. "I don't think there is any other team in the country playing at the attacking tempo that we are playing. But again, it's no good being a good attacking team if you cannot organise and communicate to defend the goals coming in," Rogers stated.
He continued, "We've got Mangi (Gouramangi Moirangthem) at the back who is 30 years of age, Sasha (Kolunija) who is 29, Kim at 29 and (Juan) Quero is 32. So it's not about lacking a leader, it's about lacking communication."
