In addition to the number 16 shirt, honorary president José Martínez Pirri gave Ibrahima Konate the club’s symbolic presents. It included a luxury watch and a scale replica of the Santiago Bernabéu.
Ibrahima Konate, 27, strengthens a position that was severely damaged by injury the previous season. He is a right-footed central defender by nature. His characteristics include a strong frame and genuine skill in duels.
He will only reinforce their defence with his presence during the games. Jose Mourinho will rely on him to deliver at every stage of the competition.
It won’t be long until his first test. If Mourinho wants, Ibrahima Konate is prepared to play on Saturday’s trip to Cornellà-El Prat against Espanyol.
