Kingfisher East Bengal routed relegated Mumbai FC 4-0 in their last Hero I-League match at the Cooperage Stadium on Saturday (April 29, 2017). The winners led 2-0 at the interval.
The victory enabled East Bengal to finish at the 3rd position in the table with 33 points from 18matches while Mumbai FC finished their engagements with 13 points from 18 matches.The first goal was scored by Bikash Jairu in the 7th minute. Jairu timed his run to perfection and slotted the ball past rival Goalkeeper Laxmikant Kattimani.

Right on the stroke of half-time, East Bengal scored their second goal -- Willis Plaza adding his name to the scoresheet.
10 minutes into the second half Bikash Jairu who had scored East Bengalʼsfirst, laid up Wedson Anselme with a superb back-heel. A grateful Wedson made no mistake to slot it home.
