India vs Bangladesh Player Ratings: Sanfida, Pyari impress at the SAFF Women's Championship Final

India defeated the defending champions, Bangladesh by a 3-1 scoreline.
India ended their seven-year wait for the SAFF Women’s Championship title with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Bangladesh in the final in Goa.
The Blue Tigresses showed resilience and character to overcome a spirited Bangladesh side and lift their sixth SAFF Women’s Championship trophy under head coach Crispin Chhetri.
The final, however, did not begin in favour of the hosts. Bangladesh started brightly and looked the more confident side during the opening exchanges, putting India under pressure and forcing them to settle into the game.
Even after India found their rhythm, Bangladesh remained competitive and continued to pose questions to the Indian defence. The contest took another intriguing turn when Bangladesh found an equaliser, giving the defending champions renewed belief and momentum.
However, India refused to let the setback affect them. Instead, the Blue Tigresses continued to push forward, creating opportunities and asking constant questions of the Bangladesh backline. Their persistence eventually paid off. With goals from Pyari Xaxa, Sanfida Nongrum, and substitute Lynda Kom Serto, India pulled away to secure a deserved 3-1 victory and reclaim the SAFF Women’s Championship crown after seven years.
Here are the player ratings from India’s title-winning display against Bangladesh.
Player Ratings
Panthoi Chanu – 8.5/10

The scoreline may suggest a comfortable evening for India, but Panthoi’s contribution should not be overlooked. The goalkeeper came up with several important saves whenever Bangladesh threatened and ensured India never lost control of the contest. Her positioning was excellent throughout the match and she looked assured while dealing with crosses and loose balls in the area. A commanding display from the experienced custodian, who once again proved why she remains one of the most dependable figures for the Blue Tigresses
Nirmala Phanjouban – 6.5/10
A relatively quiet evening compared to some of her teammates, but not every performance needs to be spectacular. Nirmala carried out her responsibilities diligently and rarely looked under serious pressure. While she did not have many standout moments that will make the highlight reel, she contributed to the team’s structure and discipline, helping India maintain control for large periods of the game.
Shilky Devi Hemam – 7/10

Another composed performance from Shikly, who looked comfortable whenever Bangladesh attempted to move forward. She read situations well, intercepted dangerous passes and was generally proactive rather than reactive in her defending. Beyond her defensive work, she also contributed to India’s build-up play by moving possession intelligently and helping the team progress up the pitch.
Juli Kishan – 7.5/10
Juli Put in a tireless shift and moved the ball efficiently. Her work often went unnoticed but played an important role in India’s rhythm.
Sangita Basfore – 7.5/10

Sangita was Strong in challenges and composed in possession. Sangita handled her defensive responsibilities with authority and limited Bangladesh’s attacking opportunities.
Astam Oraon – 7.5/10

Astam was one of India’s most adventurous players. Her overlapping runs repeatedly stretched the opposition, while her deliveries into the box kept Bangladesh under pressure.
Sanfida Nongrum – 8.5/10

Sanfida found the back of the net shortly after the restart. She reacted quickly, positioned herself intelligently and took full advantage of the opportunity that came her way. Beyond the goal, she remained active throughout the match, pressing defenders, making runs and helping India maintain pressure in the attacking third. Her contribution was crucial in shifting the momentum firmly in India’s favour.
Pyari Xaxa – 8.5/10

Pyari opened the scoring and later turned provider with an assist, directly influencing two of India’s three goals. What stood out most was her movement and awareness, constantly finding pockets of space and forcing Bangladesh’s defenders into difficult decisions. Every time India looked dangerous, Pyari seemed to be involved. She combined intelligence, composure and end product to deliver when it mattered most, making her the standout performer of the final.
Manisha Kalyan – 6.5/10

Manisha worked hard but couldn’t quite find her usual spark. Had a few encouraging moments but was unable to stamp her authority on the game.
Jasoda Munda – 7.5/10
Jasoda was disciplined and energetic. She covered the ground well and contributed effectively in both attacking and defensive phases.
Aveka Singh – 6/10

Aveka consistently found herself in promising positions and looked eager to make an impact. Unfortunately, the final touch let her down on several occasions. She had opportunities to add her name to the scoresheet but struggled to convert them. While her movement created problems for Bangladesh, she will likely feel she could have contributed more in front of goal.
Substitutes
With Bangladesh chasing the game and spaces beginning to open up, India’s bench stepped up. The substitutes made valuable contributions on both ends of the pitch, with Lynda even getting on the scoresheet.
Lynda Kom Serto – 8/10

Introduced in the second half, Lynda immediately added energy and directness to India’s attack. Her movement unsettled tired defenders and she capped off her performance with a goal that effectively sealed the result. Few players make such a clear impact from the bench, and Lynda certainly did.
Malavika Prasad – 8/10

If India needed fresh attacking inspiration, Malavika provided exactly that. Replacing Aveka, she brought a different dynamic to the forward line and consistently looked to create opportunities. Whether through her movement, passing or willingness to take risks, she gave Bangladesh new problems to solve and played a major role in keeping India’s attack lively during the latter stages..
Grace Dangmei – 7/10
Grace had a limited but impactful time. Helped India stay organised defensively and managed the closing minutes effectively.
Soumya Guguloth – 6.5/10
Soumya had very limited time on the pitch but still managed to get involved in attacking situations and keep the Bangladesh defence occupied.
