India U17 men's team defeat Tajikistan in first closed-doors friendly

These friendlies are a part of their preparation for AFC U17 Asian Cup.
The India U17 men’s national team defeated Tajikistan U17s 4-2 in the first of two closed-door friendly matches, at the PJN Stadium, in Fatorda, Goa, on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
India took the early lead via a goal from Dallalmoun Gangte in the eighth minute before Mekhrubon Odilzoda equalised in the 18th, as both sides went into the break tied at 1-1.
The Blue Colts began the second half in the same manner, as Deny Singh Wangkhem put them back in the lead three minutes after the restart. Tajikistan, however, roared back with Sadriddin Sattorov levelling the proceedings in the 66th minute.
India tore away from the visitors in the last quarter of an hour, as Azlaan Shah KH’s cross was turned into their own net by the Tajikistan defenders in the 75th minute, before Washington Singh Ngangom (90+1’) scored in injury time to secure the victory.
India Starting XI: Rajrup Sarkar, Korou Meitei, Lawmsangzuala, Shubham Poonia, Aimaan Bin Md, Moosa Sofi, Denny Singh, Dallalmoun Gangte, Heeranganba Seram, Yuvraj Kadam, Gunleiba Wangkheirakpam.
