“I hope that Yuva Bharati Krirangan will be packed, and our supporters in Kolkata will push our players all the way through to the first victory in qualifiers,” Stimac voiced.

The Blue Tigers head to the match after one of their most significant results in recent times in International Football after they held Asian Champions Qatar to a goalless draw in Doha in their last qualifying match.

Placed in Group E, the Indian Football Team are currently in the fourth spot following Qatar, Oman and Afghanistan ahead. However, the Blue Tigers needs to get themselves in the top two spots, which will enable them to advance to the next stage of the qualifiers.

“The Bangladesh game is going to be very different from the last one against Qatar. We need all our players to be fully fit, and ready to play as per our plan,” Stimac added.

Earlier on Wednesday, news broke as Rahul Bheke ruled out of India’s game against Bangladesh with an injury. Although there was no announcement of a replacement, it is expected that either of Pritam Kotal or Nishu Kumar will be taking up the mantle from Bheke, who has now quit the preparation camp in Guwahati.
