FC Goa confirm no Indian broadcast for AFC Champions League Two Preliminary Stage game against FK Arkadag

In a major development, FC Goa have officially announced on their social media and confirmed that there will be no Indian broadcast for their game in the AFC Champions League Two Preliminary Stage against FK Arkadag. This surely makes things very difficult for the Indian football fans to watch the game between these two clubs live at home.

The match is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026, in Turkmenistan at 8:30 pm IST and it is the same day when East Bengal FC will also be fighting for qualification in the AFC Champions League Two group stage when they lock horns against Al-Arabi SC in Kolkata.

No Indian broadcast for the FC Goa vs FK Arkadag game

The Goan side revealed a statement from their side before their game at the Asian stage and informed all the Indian football fans that no broadcast will be happening because, under AFC competition regulations, broadcast rights for the Preliminary Rounds are held by the host club.

And in this current scenario, FK Arkadag are the home side as they host The Gaurs on their turf, and FC Goa have no control over the broadcast or over the production, distribution of the game.

The statement stated, “As per the AFC Competition Regulations, the broadcast rights for the Preliminary Rounds of the AFC Champions League Two are held by the home club. As a result, FC Goa has no control over the production, distribution or broadcast of tomorrow’s fixture. FC Arkadag have informed us that the match will not be made available to mainstream broadcasters in India. This decision rests solely with the host club and is unfortunately beyond our control.”

Arkadag has expressed their statement to the Indian side, saying that the game would not be made available to mainstream broadcasters in India which suggests that the supporters of FC Goa will need to rely on the club’s official digital platforms or any other sources for updates regarding the game.

The club also stated that they will surely provide live updates, key moments and match-related information via their official media platforms and make sure that every football fan can enjoy the game with the information they will give.

“FC Goa has no control over the production, distribution or broadcast of tomorrow’s fixture. FC Arkadag have informed us that the match will not be made available to mainstream broadcasters in India. There is no mechanism for FC Goa to influence or alter this decision.”

In a game like this, no broadcast is really unfortunate, and if we look at the past, Arkadag also didn’t broadcast their official league games as well.
