However, only East Bengal FC were able to register a win and book their spot in the group stage of ACL Two, FC Goa on the other hand lost their game against FK Arkadag with a scoreline of 3-0 and were never in the match at all.

A few of the foreigners also joined the club just recently and had very little time to train with the team. While FK Arkadag looked like a solid well-prepared active side, the FC Goa players appeared just clueless.
At the end, FC Goa were victims of their own rustiness and were repeatedly caught sleeping as Arkadag completely dominated.

More than four players in FC Goa’s starting XI today were new arrivals, and the lack of chemistry among them and the existing squad was very evident. The team for most part of the match looked completely disconnected, with players struggling to understand each other’s movements and responsibilities.
FK Arkadag took full advantage of this and dominated the Gaurs across all areas. Players such as Alex Zalaya, Alex Vallejo and Chiki who were expected to step up in a high-pressure game clearly struggled to make their impact.
On the touchline, the newly appointed head coach Gouramangi Singh also looked clueless and appeared frustrated throughout. Perhaps the only good thing about this game was their goalkeeper Bob Jackson, who kept this scoreline respectable despite conceding three goals in the second half, two due to his own misjudgments.

In the first half, the hosts relied heavily on aerial balls for the most part, using their physical dominance and kept the Gaurs under pressure throughout. Arkadag attacked from both the flanks, delivered cross after cross and completely tested the Gaurs.
After the first half, they changed their approach a little bit. The hosts began to even use the central part to attack now, combining through the middle and finding spaces between the lines while also threatening from the wings. FK Arkadag only attacked the entire game, FC Goa were no threat to them even in one patch of the game.
The Gaurs simply had no answers to this intensity and the better quality team who controlled the game won at the end.
