Mohun Bagan and FC Goa to represent India

There is a strong Indian presence in the AFC Champions League Two this season. With FC Goa making it to the group stage through the preliminary round, the number of Indian clubs in the tournament has doubled. The Gaurs have joined Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the group stage.

This is the first time two Indian clubs will be playing the group stage of the tournament. It comes as a relief for Indian fans who have had to endure the ongoing chaos in Indian football.
