AFC unveils new logo, pledge & new brand identity

This is the first time AFC have changed their logo since 2001.

Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has welcomed 2025 with the launch of a reimagined logo and brand identity, symbolizing a bold new chapter in its evolution. This marks the first transformation of the AFC logo since 2001 and only the second in its history, underscoring its commitment to innovation and growth.

The updated design, rooted in the theme is the pledge “Connecting Asia through the Power of Football,” reflects the unifying spirit of the game. The logo features a dynamic thread or ribbon, symbolizing the seamless movements of players and embodying the AFC’s role as a connector across the diverse Asian continent. Its modern aesthetics, characterized by vibrant gradients and a refined colour palette of rich blue, gold, and pure white, signify strength, confidence, and sophistication.

Why was the new AFC logo unveiled?

President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa highlighted the significance of this transformation, stating, “Across all levels of football, whether it is through the revamped club and national teams’ competitions, or the reforms of the AFC Statutes and the enhanced support to our Member Associations and Regional Associations, there is no denying that the AFC is at a pivotal point in our growth.

“Never in the history of the Asian game have we introduced more strategic reforms than we have in recent years, so it is vital for us to embrace a new identity and brand that truly reflects the transformative journey that we are well poised to undertake in the coming decade,” he added.

“Our Vision for the future remains resolute: we want to be a model Confederation in the world of football, we want to ensure our Asian teams succeed on the world stage, and to confirm football as Asia’s number one sport, and this new logo represents our bold ambitions to take the Asian game to unparalleled levels of excellence and success,” he added.

“On behalf of the Asian football family, I would like to express my best wishes to the valued stakeholders of Asian football – from our passionate fans, our world-class players and officials, our valued sponsors, broadcast and media partners – for a prosperous new year and I rally everyone to embark on this new and exciting future with the AFC,” he concluded.

Designed with flexibility, the new logo adapts seamlessly across platforms, ensuring its relevance on the global stage. As AFC continues its journey of growth, the refreshed identity aligns with its vision of making football Asia’s leading sport and driving its teams to global success.
