India will kick off their AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup 2026 campaign against Australia

The India U-17 women’s national team, is all set to begin their AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup China 2026. campaign on 2nd May 2026 against Australia at the Taihu Football Sports Centre, Suzhou.

India, who qualified for the tournament after 21 years, will first face Australia (May 2, 17:00 IST on Pitch 8), followed by Japan (May 5, 17:00 IST on Pitch 4) and Lebanon (May 8, 13:00 IST on Pitch 8) in the Group B.

All of India’s matches will take place at the Suzhou Taihu Football Sports Centre pitches.

The top two teams in the group and the two best third-placed teams among all three groups will make it to the quarter-finals. Further, the four quarter-final winners will qualify for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026.

A tough test waits for the Young Tigresses

After playing three friendly matches against Russia in Sochi recently, the Indian team will look to get good results at the Asian challenge.
