Young Tigresses thrashed Syria in their second game
The Indian U-17 Women’s National side has already stated their names with a big GD margin as they again got another win in the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, as this is the competition which will surely mark the Young Tigresses’ spot in the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup 2027, which China will host.
Joakim Alexandersson’s squad looked very promising in this competition from the very start as they defeated Syria U-17 Women’s side in their second game by a scoreline of 2-0, relying on Anushka Kumari’s brace in the 5th & 54th minutes of the match.
The number eight-wearing player of the squad, Anushka Kumari, has had a great season with the blue army, as she scored five goals against Iraq in their first outing in the qualifiers, and with seven goals under her belt, she thrived in a smooth way.
Malaysia won their first game as hosts of Group E in the 2027 AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup, by defeating Syria 1-0, courtesy of a 79th-minute winner by the substituted Qaseh Riana, as they will face Iraq next, who are at the bottom of the table after conceding 14 goals to the Indian side.
