The Blues last won the Durand Cup in 2022.

Indian Super League (ISL) club Bengaluru FC have been a successful football club and have won almost all club football trophies. Since the club’s inception, trophies have been part of the culture as expectations always ride high within the West Block Blues.

Apart from winning the ISL league winners shield, Bengaluru FC have a heritage of winning the biggest trophies in Indian football. Here we look at all the trophies that the club has won since their inception in July 20, 2013.

I-League Champions (2013-14, 2016)

The Blues enjoyed a debut season to remember as they were crowned as the 2013-14 I-League champions. Under Ashley Westwood, the club managed to win 14 out of the 24 league games during the season, with Sunil Chhetri also scoring 14 goals for the Blues. The title win also ensured that the Blues secured qualification for the 2015 AFC Champions League qualifying play-off.

Bengaluru FC won their second I-League title during the 2015-16 season. It was their second title under coach Ashley Westwood as the Blues managed to win 10 out of the 16 league games. They also secured continental football as the league championship meant the Blues also earned qualification to Champions League qualifying play-off.

Federation Cup (2014-15, 2017)

Bengaluru FC won their first Federation Cup title during the 2014-15 season. After finishing top of Group B with 10 points in four games, Bengaluru FC set up a semifinal encounter with Sporting Club de Goa. Goals from Sean Rooney, Sunil Chhetri and Eugeneson Lyngdoh were enough as the Blues secured a 3-0 win over Goa. The Blues then went on to put on a spirited performance in the Final as they registered a 1-2 win over Dempo SC with goals from Robin Singh and Sunil Chhetri.

The Blues then won their second title in the 2017 edition of the Federation Cup despite finishing second in Group B with four points in three games. The semifinals witnessed the Blues get past Shillong Lajong FC following a 3-2 win courtesy of goals from Udanta Singh, Aiborlang Khongjee, and Eugeneson Lyngdoh.

In the 2017 Final, Bengaluru FC faced a challenging Mohun Bagan and were able to get past them after an extra-time brace by CK Vineeth in the 107th and 119th minute.

Indian Super Cup (2018)

The Blues’ only triumph in the Hero Super Cup came during the 2018 edition, where they got past Gokulam Kerala FC in the Round of 16 courtesy of 2-1 win and goals from Miku and Udanta Singh. In the quarterfinals of the Hero Super Cup, Bengaluru FC faced NEROCA FC, whom they comfortably beat in a 3-1 win courtesy of a Sunil Chhetri hat-trick.

Mohun Bagan was the club who were expected to challenge Bengaluru FC in the semifinals. However, a hat-trick from Miku and a goal from Sunil Chhetri helped the Blues get past the Mariners and a brace from Aser Pierrick Dippanda. The Final witnessed them defeat East Bengal FC by a score of 1-4 courtesy of goals from Miku, Rahul Bheke and a brace from Sunil Chhetri.

Indian Super League Champions (2018-19)

Bengaluru FC had a really strong 2018-19 league campaign where they finished at the top of league standings with 34 points in 18 games, identical to second-placed FC Goa. The league finish also helped them earn a semifinals berth where they faced NorthEast United FC.

The first leg witnessed the Highlanders record a 2-1 victory against the Blues, however, the league leaders fought their way back in the second leg as a 3-0 victory courtesy of goals from Miku, Sunil Chhetri and Dimas Delgado earned them a place in the Final.

In the 2018 Final, facing FC Goa, a team they beat in both home and away during the regular season, the Blues were stretched all the way to extra time. However, it was Rahul Bheke, who headed home in the 116th minute to win Bengaluru FC their maiden and only ISL title.

Durand Cup Winners (2022-23)

The Blues won their one and only Durand Cup title during the 2022-23 edition after starting slow and finishing second in Group A with eight points in four games. In the quarterfinals, Bengaluru FC faced Odisha FC, who were defeated 1-2 after extra-time courtesy of goals from Siva Sakthi Narayanan and Roy Krishna who nullified Diego Mauricio’s equalizer in the 115th minute.

In the semifinals, Odei Onaindia’s own goal against Hyderabad FC, secured Bengaluru FC progression into the Final. Bengaluru FC then secured an impressive 1-2 win over Mumbai City FC following goals from Siva Sakthi Narayanan and Alan Costa which downed Apuia’s lone effort in vain.
