Brazil Legends vs India All-Stars: Who will be playing alongside Ronaldinho in Chennai this Sunday?

Ronaldinho will be playing for the Brazil Legends Team alongside 11 former FIFA World Cup winners in India.
The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai, known as the Marina Arena, has witnessed several special nights in the Indian Super League (ISL). Coming Sunday, the iconic South Indian Stadium is set to witness history as it hosts the game between the Brazil Legends Team and the India All-Stars Team.
Football Plus Soccer Academy, in tie-up with the Brazil Soccer Academy, has set up the Football Plus Summit, which will take place in Chennai on 31st March 2025 and 1st April 2025. The event aims to bring global footballing minds under one roof to shape the game’s future.
As a part of the event, the game between the Brazil Legends and the homegrown All-Stars has also been set up at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on 30th March 2025 (Sunday), as the city gets set to welcome the Selecao Legends.
Former FIFA World Cup winners, including Ronaldinho, Gilberto Silva, Rivaldo, and others, are set to take the field in what will be a historic match.
Who will be representing the Brazil Legends Team?

Leading the Selecao would be their poster boy, Ronaldinho Gaucho. The former AC Milan and Barcelona legend is without doubt a fan favourite. He was also the 2005 Ballon d’Or winner and was part of Brazil’s 2002 FIFA World Cup winning side.
Apart from Ronaldinho, other FIFA World Cup 2002 winners, including Rivaldo, Gilberto Silva, Lucio, Junior, Jose Kleberson, and Edmilson, are also part of the Brazil Legend’s squad. FIFA World Cup 1994 winners Dunga, Jorginho, Paulo Sergio Silvestre, and Viola will also play in India.
The 16-man squad for the Brazil Legends will also feature the likes of Huerelho Gomes, Elvielton, Viola, Amaral, Camanducaia, and Ricardo Oliveira – all of whom have represented the Brazilian national team.

Who will be representing the India All-Stars?

The 17-men Indian All-Stars squad will be led by the iconic striker I.M. Vijayan. Other popular homegrown football legends like Climax Lawrence and multi-time SAFF Championship winner Shanmugan Venkatesh will also be taking the field.
Former Chennaiyin FC stars Mehrajuddin Wadoo, Karanjit Singh, and Nallappan Mohanraj will be playing at the Marina Arena once again. Alongside them, Indian Super League (ISL) greats Subhasish Roy Chowdhary, Arnab Mondal, Dharamaraj Ravanan, and Mehtab Hossain will also be in action.
Former Indian internationals Syed Rahim Nabi, Mahesh Gawli, NP Pradeep, Deepak Mondal, Bibiano Fernandes, Alvito D’Cunha, and Prasanta Banerjee are the remaining players who will be representing the Indian team in this special match in Chennai.
