Calcutta Football League 2024: East Bengal fixtures

East Bengal will look to clinch the title this time around.

The 2024-25 Indian football season will get underway with the Calcutta Football League in June 2024. The historic league returns to action for its 126th edition. Kolkata giants East Bengal will look to get their hands on the title for the first time since 2017.

The Red and Gold are the most successful side in the history of the tournament, having won 39 titles to-date, nine more than their arch-rivals Mohun Bagan. They won eight titles in a row and ruled the CFL from 2010-2017.

The team have been grouped alongside Mohun Bagan, Sangbad Pratidin, Bhawanipore, Eastern Railway, Kalighat Sports Lovers’ Association, George Telegraph, ASOS Rainbow AC, Calcutta Customs, Peerless FC, Railway FC, Calcutta Police, Police AC and Tollygunge Agragami

East Bengal will begin their campaign with a clash against Tollygunge on June 30 at the Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay Stadium before going up against George Telegraph SC on July 7 at the East Bengal Ground. They will face-off against Mohun Bagan in the iconic Kolkata Derby on July 13, but the venue and time of kickoff are yet to be decided.

Three days later, East Bengal will lock horns with Calcutta Customs Club on July 16 before the meeting against Railway Football Club on July 22. They will then play against Police Athletic Club on July 26. The remainder of the games will be announced in due course.
