The Durand Cup Kolkata Derby will be contested at the iconic Salt Lake Stadium.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant are all set to take on East Bengal as the two will reignite one of Asian football’s biggest rivalries in Durand Cup 2024. The Indian Super League (ISL) 2023-24 League Winners’ Shield winners will vie for the top spot in Group A with the Super Cup 2024 winners.

After their 6-0 win against Indian Air Force, the Mariners are tied on points with the Red and Gold, albeit ahead on goal-difference. This stalemate makes next Sunday’s Derby a must-win affair for both sides to advance to the next phase.

Carles Cuadrat was seen keeping an eye on his rivals’ performance from the stands in Mohun Bagan’s last game, but Jose Molina will be well-equipped to face his compatriot. Tickets for the Durand Cup group game, featuring East Bengal and Mohun Bagan Super Giant, in Kolkata on 18th August are now live and accessible via the Bookmyshow link given below.

The game will be hosted at Kolkata’s Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan and live-streamed on Sony LIV. Ticket prices for the event start at only Rs. 100 and go up to Rs. 500, but are selling fast as expected. All of the tickets in the categories of Rs 100, 150, 200 and 250 are fully sold out.

The VIP area passes are the only ones left but being priced at only Rs 300 won’t be up for grabs for long. The match is scheduled to start at 7pm and will also be telecast on the Sony Sports Network.

East Bengal will be desperate to get started in their 2024-25 season with another title. On the other hand, their arch-rivals will want to stamp their authority with the returning ISL-winning coach getting his hands on yet another Durand Cup for the club.
