"Well played India, Brave match" - Social Media reactions to the historic India vs Brazil match

Brazil beat India 0-4 on the night .

The Indian men’s national football team lost against Brazil with a scoreline of 4-0. The goalscorers for Brazil included, Estêvão, Pedro & Samuel Lino.

The match was highlighted heavily by the samba flair & a brace by Samuel Lino. Though the match ended 0-4, The Blue Tigers never lost their spirit and tried to push through and find a goal. The match marked many first time moments, like Prabhsukhan Gill making his first appearance for The Blue Tigers & Samuel Lino scoring for Brazil.

The hosts conceded their first goal through a left footed curler from Chelsea wonderkid, Estêvão, which the Indian Custodian Gurpreet Singh Sandhu almost saved. The second goal of the night was courtesy of Pedro finding himself in a 1v1 against Gurpreet Singh Sandhu. Pedro struck the ball, which went through the legs of the goalkeeper.

Samuel Lino scored his first goal for the Seleção, as he took a shot from the left edge of the Indian defensive box, beating the substituted Indian keeper, Prabhsukhan Gill. Brazil’s 4th goal in the match came in a similar fashion to their 3rd, with Samuel Lino dribbling past Edmund to take a shot from the edge of the Indian defensive box.

Indian Fans are very proud of their team’s performance

Despite losing the match to Brazil, fans of the Blue Tigers were incredibly happy with the way they played against the five-time World Cup winners, with many fans expecting the score line to be way worse than 4-0.

Considering The Blue Tigers drew against Panama, the fans expected their team to play just as good against the Seleção. Even though India were not able to score, they proved that they have an unwavering spirit.

Brazil saw a free meal today and they took it with both hands.

I didn't know India can kick a ball btw.#INDBRA https://t.co/u8iezzGyHj pic.twitter.com/kr89HUPtwp

Brazil could manage to score only 4 goals against 138th ranked India, no wonder they couldn't even cross the round of 16 in the World Cup 🤣🤣🤣

Decent game. Disappointed with result but it was expected as well. I still feel we could have done better than this. You can’t give even a single chance to quality teams, you have to play full 90mins with same intensity. Hope team will learn & do better atleast asia level.

could have been a respectable 2-0 if not for those blunders by Gurpreet Singh Sandhu

Well Played India 🔥. A Brave Fight 💪🏻

India could easily defeat a low level Laliga side or maybe even could become a mid table Ligue 1 side.

There are some hidden gems that could easily play in top tier European leagues whereas there are some other frauds that are halting the development of the Indian football team

Brazil fans react to the game

Brazil fans expected their star-studded team to thrash India for more than just 4 goals. Many Brazil fans spoke about individual brilliance being the only reason they won, and that if this is how Brazil play, they will never win a World Cup again.

Obrigado, Brazil! 🇧🇷❤️
All the best for your future matches. Come back soon your support means a lot to Indian football! 🇮🇳 #INDBRA

Forget Estevão and Samuel Lino, today's man of the match was Ancelotti, for surviving the Indian heat and humidity in a three piece suit. pic.twitter.com/V6giYPFxhm

Jogo podre, nojento. Era obrigação fazer uns 8 nesse time amador da Índia.
