I-League 2 2025-26 to begin on March 27, schedule officially announced

Nine clubs will participate in I-League 2 2025-26
The fixtures for the I-League 2 2025–26 season have been officially announced, setting the stage for another thrilling campaign in India’s third tier.
The competition will get underway with two matches on the opening day, marking the start of an intense race for promotion.
With clubs from across the country looking for a place in the higher divisions, the season promises high-stakes action and fierce competition, before culminating in mid-May as the top teams battle for ultimate glory.
Opening day fixtures set the tone

The 2025–26 I-League 2 season will kick off with an exciting double-header as teams look to make an early statement.
Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC will host Sudeva Delhi FC at the KASA Stadium, setting the stage for a competitive opener in Diphu.
Meanwhile, GMSC will go head-to-head against Sporting Club Bengaluru at the iconic Cooperage Stadium, adding further excitement to the opening day’s action.
With two intriguing clashes lined up, the season promises a lively start as clubs aim to build early momentum in their quest for promotion.
Teams Participating
Nine clubs will participate in I-League 2 2025-26, which will be played in a home-and-away, single-round-robin format, with each team playing once against all opponents, four at home and four away.
The champions and runners-up will be promoted to the Indian Football League 2026-27. The ninth-placed club, along with Sports Academy Tirur (who have withdrawn from I-League 2 2025-26 prior to the commencement of the league), will be relegated to I-League 3 2026-27.
The nine participating teams include the two relegated clubs from I-League 2024-25 – Delhi FC and Sporting Club Bengaluru, two promoted clubs from I-League 3 2024-25 – GMSC and Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC, four existing clubs from I-League 2 2024-25 – United SC, NEROCA FC, Sporting Clube de Goa and FC Bengaluru United – and Sudeva Delhi FC, who were reinstated to I-League 2 as per the decision of the AIFF Executive Committee.
TRAU FC and KLASA FC were relegated from I-League 2 2024-25 after finishing eighth and ninth, respectively.
