Gokulam Kerala to launch Elite Residential Academy in Chennai

Gokulam Kerala FC, the two-time I-League champions, will launch its Elite Residential Academy for boys and girls for the age of 8 and above in Chennai. This initiative marks a significant step forward in the club’s commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering excellence in Indian football.
The Gokulam Kerala FC Elite Residential Academy will provide selected players with a comprehensive program that includes academics, food, lodging, and top-notch football training. Under the guidance of AIFF licensed coaches, weekly matches with other top-notch academies. These promising young athletes will receive professional instruction aimed at honing their skills and maximizing their potential.
One of the standout features of the academy is the opportunity for outstanding players to represent Gokulam Kerala FC in age-group category tournaments at the national level. In addition to domestic competitions, the academy will also offer players a unique opportunity for international exposure.
Selected talents will embark on an exposure tour to a European country, where they will have the chance to train and compete against top-tier youth teams. This invaluable experience is designed to broaden their horizons, enhance their footballing skills, and prepare them for success on the global stage.

Through initiatives like this, the club aims to create a pathway for aspiring young players to reach the highest levels of the sport. There have been several good academies sprung up in Chennai and we see this as a good opportunity for us to get quality exposure, if we start academy in Chennai,” he added.
