Inter Kashi FC condemns AIFF Appeals Committee's stay on Namdhari FC decision

The club are currently in the running for promotion to the Indian Super League.
I-League club Inter Kashi FC recently expressed surprise and concern over reports suggesting the All India Football Federation (AIFF) Appeals Committee stayed the forfeiture ruling involving their I-League 2024-25 fixture against Namdhari FC.
In an official statement, the club had not received formal communication from the AIFF or the league regarding the alleged decision. The incident relates to Match No. 45 of the ongoing I-League season.
The initial ruling by the AIFF Disciplinary Committee had awarded Inter Kashi FC a forfeit victory. However, reports now indicate that the Appeals Committee may have overturned or put a stay on that judgment.
Inter Kashi FC is ‘not happy’ ahead of a crucial week
The club has questioned the timing of the development, particularly as the issue is reportedly scheduled for discussion on April 28, nearly three weeks after conclusion of the league on April 6. Inter Kashi FC has raised concerns about procedural transparency and fairness, while highlighting that such delays cast doubts on the integrity of the competition.
The club has formally reached out to AIFF, seeking immediate clarification on this major issue. Inter Kashi’s statement read, “Inter Kashi will not hesitate to explore all legal avenues necessary to protect its interests once official intimation is received.” The club reiterated its commitment to justice and fair play, asserting that AIFF’s regulations and codes must be upheld without compromise.

A title race fight till the bitter end

Despite being in the midst of this unexpected controversy, Inter Kashi FC remains focused on their immediate challenge, winning the I-League title. With the upcoming clash against Churchill Brothers on March 30, 2025, a virtual title decider is on the horizon for Inter Kashi FC.
The club remains determined to continue its push for the league title and promotion to the Indian Super League (ISL). Inter Kashi’s management, players, and staff have vowed to maintain their high standards on and off the pitch, ensuring that their performances remain unaffected by off-field disputes.
As they await a response from AIFF, the club remains confident that the governing body will handle the matter with fairness and transparency. This latest development adds another layer of intrigue to what has already been an intense I-League season, with clubs battling for promotion and crucial points.
While the AIFF’s eventual decision on the matter will have significant implications for Inter Kashi FC, the decision can also bring the overall credibility of the league into focus.
