I-League club Sreenidi Deccan set to appoint Rui Amorim as new head coach

Sreenidi Deccan parted ways with Domingo Oramas.
I-League side Sreenidi Deccan FC have sacked their Spanish head coach Domingo Oramas Cabrera and assistant coach Birendra Thapa with immediate effect, just a month before the start of the season.
The club are in the process of appointing Rui Amorim as their new head coach. Domingo Oramas replaced Carlos Vaz Pinto, who led Sreenidi Deccan to an impressive second-place finish in the I-League last season and has moved on to pursue an opportunity in European football.
Fans were happy with the appointment of Domingo Cabrera since he managed Gokulam Kerala and had experience in the league. However, due to some internal issues, he was removed from his position and the club have seemingly already finalized their new head coach for next season.
Who is Rui Amorim?
Portuguese tactician Rui Amorim is on the way to take charge of the team for this upcoming season and will be a new face in Indian football. He has a lot of experience as a manager, but this will be his first stint in Asian football.
He has managed in Portugal and Czechia. The only problem is that he is someone who has not worked with any club for a long time.

He is a UEFA A-license certified coach and has extensively worked across the divisions in Portugal. Coming to India may have its challenges, but Sreenidi Deccan’s management considers him their best candidate for the role.
For the last few seasons, Sreenidi have missed out on promotion to the Indian Super League (ISL), but Rui Amorim could make a difference. The biggest challenge he might face is adapting to the league and the players, but as a man with his kind of experience, he should be up to the task of helping the team achieve their objectives.
