IFL 2025-26: Updated points table, most goals after Dempo SC vs Shillong Lajong FC

Rajasthan back in title race after 101st minute winner
The final matchday of Matchweek 7 of the Indian Football League (IFL) saw two vital clashes: Rajasthan locked horns with Gokulam, and Goan outfit Dempo hosted Shillong Lajong.
In the first game, it was the Desert Vipers who scored a miraculous stoppage-time goal. It looked like the game was heading for a goalless draw, and nobody believed that a winner awaited us till the 101st minute when Naoba won the game 1-0 in favour of Rajasthan United FC against the Malabarians.
In the second game, two teams with contrasting forms locked horns. It looked like it would be a cakewalk for the Meghalaya outfit, who are one of the title contenders. But Dempo SC shocked everyone by winning the game 3-0 and keeping their survival hopes alive.
Let’s take a closer look at how the IFL points table has changed after this game and find out how tonight’s results will impact the championship prospects of different teams.
A brief look at the IFL 2025-26 points table

Seven out of nine matchweeks are over in the Indian Football League, and all eyes are now on the points table. Rajasthan are now the new entrants in the title race after Shillong and Sreenidhi dropped points. Diamond Harbour are two points clear at the top, and Shillong are almost out of the title race.
The relegation battle has heated up and after tonight’s win for Dempo, Real Kashmir are now in real trouble. So the title race has three main contenders with Diamond Harbour being the favourites alongside Sreenidhi and Rajasthan United.
Players with the most goals after matchday 21 of IFL 2025-26
- Amadou Soukouna (Rajasthan FC) – 4 goals
- Marcus Joseph jr (Dempo) – 4 goals
- Phrangki Buam (Shillong Lajong) – 3 goals
- Antonio Moyano (Diamond Harbour) – 3 goals
- Fabrice Kah (Sreenidi) – 3 goals
What to expect in matchweek 8 of IFL 2025-26
We are now in the penultimate round of the Indian Football League. For Diamond Harbour, they are not playing either of their two competitors for the title race. Their fate is in their own hands. What is interesting is that Sreenidhi is facing Rajasthan in the next match week, and the winner takes it all.
A draw would benefit the Kolkata outfit, and the loser will be out of the title race. Real Kashmir will take on Gokulam in a must-win game, and a defeat would confirm their absence in the upcoming edition.
