India's fixtures for AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup in Thailand announced

India will participate in the tournament after two decades.
The Indian U20 Women’s team is preparing to show their potential on the continental stage. The Young Tigresses will take part in the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup for the first time in two decades. It was the 2006 edition when India last featured in the tournament.
On their return to the continental stage, the Young Tigresses are set to face some of the best teams in Asia. Team India will travel to Thailand as the Southeast Asian nation hosts the tournament for the second time. The tournament will take place from April 1 to 18 next year.
India to face Japan

India have been drawn into Group C with teams like Japan, Australia, and Chinese Taipei. It will be a tricky challenge for Joakim Alexandersson to lead India past the group stage with proven performers in the fray for the top spot.
Japan are the six-time AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup champion. The Young Nadeshiko, as they are famously called, have also lifted the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in 2018. Not just Japan, but Australia will also be making the journey arduous for India.
India will begin the campaign on April 2 against Japan at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok. The Japanese challenge will be followed by the fixture against Australia on April 5 at the Pathum Thani Stadium. The last match in the group stage for the Young Tigresses will be against Chinese Taipei at the same venue.
