India U20 women to play Kazakhstan U19 in two friendlies in October

India U20 women qualified for the Asian Cup for the first time in 20 years.
The Indian U20 women’s team will travel to Shymkent to play two friendly matches against Kazakhstan U19 on October 25 and 28, 2025.
These games will form part of their’s preparations for the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup, which will be held in April 2026.
The Young Tigresses have been camping at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru, and will depart for Kazakhstan on October 23. Head coach Joakim Alexandersson will announce the 23-member squad before the team’s departure.
India U20 football team qualified for a historic Asian Cup campaign

The young tigresses for the Asian Cup for the first time in 20 years after defeating Myanmar in their last qualifying match in August.
After a goalless stalemate against Indonesia, the Young Tigresses bounced back in style, registering a commanding 7-0 victory over Turkmenistan to open their account in the qualifiers. That result set up a decisive clash against Myanmar, which turned into a battle of nerves rather than flair.
In a scrappy, hard-fought encounter, they relied on a scruffy yet decisive goal and an organized defensive display to grind out a crucial 1-0 win and seal the result.
On the other hand, Kazakhstan will use these games to prepare for their upcoming UEFA Women’s U19 Championship qualifiers.
