The game ended in a 3-2 defeat for India U23.

India U23 national team suffered a narrow 3-2 defeat in the Friendly game against Tajikistan. The Blue Colts started the game really strongly, showing impressive defence and control in the first half. Suhail Bhat’s early strike gave India the lead, and Parthib Gogoi added a second goal in the second half.

Despite taking an early lead in the first half, India U23s struggled to maintain their lead as they conceded goals from set pieces consecutively. Tajikistan’s substitutions proved to be the game changer with two of their three goals coming from players who were brought on in the second half, ultimately giving them the victory

Priyansh Dubey – 6

Priyansh Dubey gave a good performance for India U23s, showing sharp reflexes and making some key saves. He also commanded the backline with confidence, keeping the defence organised throughout the match. But he struggled with set pieces and conceded 3 goals in the game

Pramveer – 7

Pramveer stood out as one of the most reliable defenders on the pitch for India U23s, doing his defensive duties with composure. His timely clearances were crucial in keeping the Tajikistan attackers away.

Dippendu Biswas – 6.5

Dippendu Biswas had a steady game for India U23 and contributed with well-timed challenges. His accurate long passes helped in the build-up play.

Bikash Yumnam – 6.5

Bikash Yumnam put in a good defensive game and contributed well in transitioning the ball forward. He also led the side by staying calm and showed a good presence as captain.

Suhail Ahmed Bhat – 7

Suhail Bhat was among the standout performers for the Blue Colts, scoring the opening goal in the first half to give India U23s the lead. He looked confident on the ball and consistently threatened the Tajikistan defence.

Mohammad Sanan – 6.5

Mohammad Sanan was active in the attacking third, consistently creating chances and putting the Tajikistan defence under pressure. However, he couldn’t find the finishing touch to convert his efforts into a goal.

Lalrinliana Hnamte -6

Lalrinliana Hnamte had a fairly decent outing, doing just enough in midfield without making any kind of major impact. He had a steady performance.

Ayush Chetri – 5.5

Ayush Chetri had some promising moments in midfield, showing his usual energy and work rate. However, his lack of discipline proved costly for India U23s. Ayush who was already on a yellow card by the first half, picked up a second and was soon sent off. His early exit left India down to ten men, shifting the entire momentum of the match.

Macarton Nickson – 6.5

MacCarton Nickson gave a strong performance in midfield, showing good control and dribbling ability. His style of linked up play was smooth and he provided the assist for Suhail’s goal, making his presence felt.

Abhishek Tekcham – 6.5

Abhishek Tekcham was good defensively while also trying to be the transition between the defence and the final third. He also made a few attempts to push forward, trying to create one or two chances and had a few good crosses

Vinith Venkatesh – 6

Vinith Venkatesh had a quiet game for India U23s overall and struggled to make a major impact. However, he did show skill with his long passes and was reliable during set-piece situations.

Substitutions

Korou Singh – 6

Korou came in for Vinith Venkatesh in the 64th minute. He tried making an impact with some sharp dribbles.

Mohmmed Aimen – 6.5

Mohammed Aimen replaced Mohammad Sanan in the 64th minute of the India U23 game and He added a bit of spark to the attack, trying to break through the opposition lines. He also provided the assist for Parthib’s goal

Lalremtluanga Fanai – 6

Fanai replaced MacCarton Nickson in the 64th minute. He had an average game with minimal involvement in key moments. He couldn’t make much of an impact on either end of the pitch.

Shivaldo Singh – 6

Replaced Lalrinliana Hnamte in the 70th minute. Despite coming on late into the game he brought fresh energy and intent. He showed a strong work rate and was eager to create chances in the final minutes.

Parthib Gogoi – 7

Replaced Suhail Bhat in the 70th minute. He had an impressive game, scoring India U23’s second goal with confidence. He remained active throughout the match, contributing well to the team’s attack.

Muhammad Saheef had limited time on the pitch and couldn’t influence the game much.

Tajikistan U23 Ratings

Sukhrobkhudza Yusupov – 6

Yusupov showed his skills with a few sharp saves and good positioning. Despite his efforts, he ended up conceding two goals.

Mukhin Aleksandr – 6

Aleksandr delivered a modest performance, holding his line well. He made way for a substitution in the second half

Mehruboni Abdurauf – 6

Akhtamov was consistent throughout the match. While not too impressive his performance proved that he was a dependable player

Murodali Aknazarov – 6.5

Murodali had an average game in the midfield, doing just enough to keep things going on but did not make a significant impact on the game.

Dzhovidon Khushvakhtov – 6

He had a modest performance. He did his part in maintaining the balance between both the halves but lacked any specific moments.

Ansor Khabhibov – 7

Ansor Khabhibov had a strong presence in the midfield, showing good control and spatial awareness. He played a key role in creating chances and He scored the first goal for Tajikistan.

Faridun Davlatov – 6

Faridun Davlatov showed great physicality throughout the match using his strength to break India’s attacking efforts. He was effective in closing down threats.

Shahboz Khabibov -6

Khabhibov had a decent outing, staying involved in the midfield without making a major impact.

Azizboev made an instant impact ever since he came on bringing intensity and creativity to the attack. He capitalized on a set piece to score the third and final goal, sealing the victory for his side.

Muhammadiqbol Davlatov – 7

He was instrumental in the attacking third, scoring the second goal from a well executed set piece. Throughout the match, he constantly created chances and applied pressure on the Team India’s defence.

Replaced Faridun Davlatov in the 82nd minute. Had limited time to make an impact but was good with his dribbles
