I-League 2024-25: Full updated squad of Inter Kashi FC

Joni Kauko will be the player to watch for Inter Kashi.

Inter Kashi are set to embark on a new era under Antonio Habas when they start their 2024-25 I-League as one of the favorites to clinch the title.

The Warriors of Kashi have created a pretty strong squad ahead of the campaign as part of their ambitions to win promotion into the Indian Super League (ISL) in 2025 and become the first Uttar Pradesh club to play in the competition.

Habas has been given a pretty solid unit to work with in his first tryst in managing an I-League club in his career. The Spanish gaffer had a decorated career in the ISL, winning three titles and most recently helping Mohun Bagan win the 2023-24 ISL Shield Championship.

Inter Kashi’s biggest asset is arguably former Mohun Bagan midfielder Joni Kauko. The Finland midfielder, who played in Euro 2020, is an explosive and highly energetic midfield star who can swing games in his side’s favor with his dynamic playing style.

They also have former Mohammedan Sporting midfielder Nikola Stojanovic, who had seven goal contributions (five goals, two assists) in nine appearances last season to help them get promoted to the ISL.

They also have a prolific forward in former Cadiz striker Mario Barco, who has stayed with the club since joining last season. Inter Kashi’s squad is also blessed to have a number of experienced Indian players like India international forward Edmund Lalrindika and former East Bengal goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya as their no.1.

The Warriors of Kashi are going to be pushing for total dominance in the I-League and Habas must use his squad depth smartly to help them go all the way into lifting the title.
