India U-20 men’s football team gear up to take on Singapore U-20 in two friendly matches scheduled for August 3rd and 6th. The first friendly will be played tomorrow (3rd August) in Bengaluru.

These friendly matches, being played as part of the teams’ preparations for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup China 2027 Qualifiers, will be played behind closed doors at the Centre for Sports Excellence. Both the friendly matches against Singapore will kick off at 19:00 IST. Head coach Mahesh Gawali has also named the 30-men squad for these friendlies as preparations start for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers.

The Stakes

India U-20

For India U-20, this match holds immense significance as head coach Mahesh Gawali can know what the young batch of players can do and build significant chemistry among themselves. These will also be an opportunity for the entire squad to test their competitiveness and get some positive results as they head to the AFC U-20 Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers next.
