The Islanders have won the ISL with a great comeback win.

Mumbai City FC have defeated Mohun Bagan in quite an exciting fashion, to win the ISL Trophy for the second time, and defeat Mohun Bagan once again in the ISL finals.

Mumbai City were quite focused right from the very start, and seemed to be more in tempo than the Mariners. Mohun Bagan scored the opener against the run of play in the 44th minute of the game, as Jason Cummings calmly chipped the ball past Lachenpa.

Mumbai came back with an answer early into the second half, as Jorge Pereyra Diaz scored in the 53rd minute.

The game took a twist in the 81st minute, when super sub Bipin Singh made the difference once again for the Islanders, as he gave them the lead with a simple shot.

Mohun Bagan’s fierce attacking endeavours in the dying minutes made no difference, and only opened up the defence for Mumbai to penetrate and score the third and seal their victory.
