ISL 2025-26: Inter Kashi boss Antonio Lopez Habas takes positives from hard-earned away point

Odisha FC and Inter Kashi FC play out goalless draw in ISL clash
Inter Kashi continued their steady start to life in the 2025-26 Indian Super League (ISL), securing a disciplined 0–0 draw against Odisha FC in their second league fixture of the season. In a game defined by organization and a defensive performance, Inter Kashi FC delivered a composed performance away from home, limiting Odisha’s attacking threat while remaining competitive and keeping up the possession.
Both sides created half-chances and controlled the momentum of the game, but defensive structure and game management ultimately shaped the outcome. The result marked Inter Kashi’s first clean sheet of the campaign and extended their unbeaten run following the 1–1 draw in their ISL debut.
Following the match, Head Coach Antonio López Habas addressed the media to reflect on the team’s performance and early-season development.
Here is what the head coach said after the match.
On Inter Kashi’s performance

Speaking about the performance of the team on the whole, Head Coach Antonio López Habas appreciated the team’s discipline and growth in the entire game rather than focusing on just the result.
“It was a demanding match against a quality opponent. The players showed strong organization and commitment throughout the game. Keeping a clean sheet away from home is positive, and we are building step by step as a team. There is still room to improve, and we will continue working hard.”
Habas on how he views the result

Addressing the final scoreline, Habas noted that the result could be viewed from two perspectives which is both positive and disappointing.
“I would consider this both as a victory and a defeat as we couldn’t get all the three points, but we could get one point out of this. Before the match a lot of people said that Odisha has suffered off the field and did not have a good pre-season but in reality, they put up a very good performance against us on the field today”
On not being able to get the much-needed finishing in the game

The Gaffer admitted that chance creation remains an area for improvement, while stressing that the group will take valuable lessons from the performance.
“I think it was an intense game. Both the teams created chances. And our training sessions are usually of high velocity. We weren’t able to produce the same result but I don’t prefer to dwell in the past and since it’s a different format now I think it’s better that if we can’t win, we should at least try not to lose many points and Games like this are crucial, We pick up the positives as well as the lessons and move forward” he concluded
