As Bengaluru FC prepare for the 2025-26 Indian Super League season, the squad reflects a blend of experienced internationals, established ISL performers, and emerging domestic talent. Bengaluru FC had a decent enough season in the 2024-25 Indian Super League, finishing at number four in the points table with 38 points. The team could not stay consistent and dropped many important points in the previous edition of ISL.

At times, they played good attacking football, but defensive mistakes and injuries made their path very tough to compete. Because of this, Bengaluru FC couldn’t perform at their best. But in this season, they will need to be more consistent and solid to fight for the title.

Goalkeepers

Bengaluru’s goalkeeping department is built around Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, who remains the undisputed No.1. His leadership, aerial dominance, and reflex shot-stopping provide defensive assurance. Sahil Poonia and Ralte offer depth and competition, ensuring rotation flexibility during congested fixtures. The experience at the top combined with capable backups gives the Blues security in this department.

 Defenders

Defensively, Bengaluru FC appear structurally balanced. The central defensive unit combines physicality and positional intelligence. Midfielders

Midfield is arguably the most crucial zone for Bengaluru this season. Suresh Singh Wangjam anchors the midfield as a defensive pivot, tasked with ball recovery, pressing, and shielding the backline.

Sirojiddin Kuziev brings composure and progressive passing, offering structural balance. Brian Sánchez adds attacking creativity and operates between the lines, acting as the team’s primary playmaker.

Ryan Williams offers directness and width, stretching opposition backlines. Jorge Pereyra Díaz provides mobility and pressing from the front, capable of leading the line effectively in a high-energy system. Rohit Danu adds depth and rotational flexibility in wide attacking roles.
