FC Goa eye first win in ISL 2025-26 against Inter Kashi at home

FC Goa won two Super Cup titles while Inter Kashi won the I-League in 2025.

The 2025-26 Indian Super League (ISL) season will get underway on Saturday as Mohun Bagan welcome Kerala Blasters in the early kickoff. The action will shift to Goa in the late evening as the Gaurs lace up their shoes for the 12th season of the ISL.

The former ISL Shield winners will welcome newcomers Inter Kashi to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda, Goa, as kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 pm on Saturday. Can the visitors start their maiden ISL campaign with a memorable win?

FC Goa lost four of their foreigners, as they moved on after the conclusion of their AFC Champions League Two campaign in December. However, Manolo Marquez’s team have strengthened their attack by signing Indian strikers Ishan Pandita and Daniel Lalhlimpuia.

Inter Kashi

Inter Kashi have signed Lluis Tarres, David Humanes, Mario Barco, Alfred Planas, and Nauris Petkevičius as their foreign signings for their maiden ISL campaign. The Yoddhas are coached by the legendary Antio Habas, someone who is no stranger to winning silverware.

Dejan Drazic (FC Goa)

Dejan Drazic remains the only foreign attacker at the club following the departure of Iker Guarrotxena and Javier Siverio in January. Given his flexibility to play as a winger, attacking midfielder, and centre forward, Drazic will be tough to handle.

The Serbian scored two goals in the recently concluded Super Cup and was also on the scoresheet in FC Goa’s AFC Asian Champions League Two 2025-26 campaign.

Mario Barco (Inter Kashi)

Having joined Inter Kashi in 2023, Mario Barco has scored 18 goals and delivered 13 assists for the Yoddhas. He played an important role under Antonio Habas in leading Kashi to their I-League title and helping them win promotion to the Indian Super League.
