Mumbai City look to extend unbeaten run against Inter Kashi

Inter Kashi will play their home matches of ISL 2025-26 at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata
Inter Kashi FC will play their first home game of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26 season on March 15, 2026, at the Kishore Bharati Stadium in Kolkata. They will face an unbeaten Mumbai City FC, who are yet to lose a game in four league games.
Inter Kashi, on the other side, made an excellent start to the season, winning one and drawing two in their first three games.
They did, however, lose their most recent match against Jamshedpur FC. With a victory against Mumbai City FC in their first home game, Antonio Lopez Habas would be aiming to get back on track.
Here is a brief summary of the teams and how they performed so far this season.
The Stakes
Inter Kashi FC

Clubs that are promoted from the lower level to the first division typically struggle to adapt into the league.
However, Inter Kashi has been a fiercely competitive team in the league so far under the direction of an established manager like Habas.
They appeared quite competitive in all four games they have played so far, and their performance levels were equivalent to those of the ISL clubs.
They won their first ISL match against the Kerala Blasters at Kochi. However, they lost to Owen Coyle’s Jamshedpur FC in their most recent ISL match.
Despite the loss, Habas looked quite competitive and battled toe-to- toe with Jamshedpur FC’s 10-men. They had several opportunities, but they were thwarted by Albino Gomes and Stephen Eze’s brilliant performances.
With Mumbai’s recent defensive challenges, Habas will be trying to capitalize and get their second win of the season.
Mumbai City FC

Mumbai City are undefeated in the ISL 2025-26, having won two and drawn two games. They opened the season with consecutive 1-0 victories over Chennaiyin FC and Kerala Blasters FC.
However, they have failed to win their previous two games, drawing against NorthEast United FC and SC Delhi.
The Islanders’ attack appears to be improving with each game, with players like as Jorge Pereyra Diaz and Noufal complementing an obviously dangerous Chhangte, who has been in excellent form this season.
However, one area where they must improve is their ability to convert chances and put the game to bed.
However, defensively, there have been several problems. They blew a 2-0 lead and ended up with only a point in their last encounter against SC Delhi.
Sahil Panwar has looked vulnerable defensively, and Petr Kratky must consider making some defensive adjustments to get things right.
Team News
Mumbai City FC’s head coach, Petr Kratky, emphasized that the club is constantly examining Dhruv Alva and Jorge Ortiz’s injuries.
Ortiz is recovering well, and his availability will be determined following the final training session before the game.
The availability of David Humanes and Mario Barco for Inter Kashi continues to be uncertain. Other than these two players, Habas is expected to have a completely fit squad for the clash against Mumbai City FC.

Predicted Lineups
Inter Kashi FC (4-4-2)
Lluis Tarres (GK); Sandip Mandi, Nishchal Chandan, Narendar Gahlot, Prabir Das; Rohit Danu, Sumeet Passi, Sergio Llamas, Prasanth K; Alfred Planas, Nauris Petkevičius.
Mumbai City FC (4-2-3-1)
Phurba Lachenpa (GK); Akash Mishra, Bijay Chhetri, Nuno Reis, Valpuia; Tluanga, Joni Kauko; Noufal P.N, Brandon Fernandes, Chhangte; Jorge Pereyra Diaz.
Players to watchout
Sergio Llamas (Inter Kashi FC)

Despite the focus on Alfred Plannas and Nauris Petkevičius, Sergio Llamas has quietly been a key player in Inter Kashi’s midfield. Llamas and Tomba Singh have been one of the league’s strongest midfield duos so far. While Tomba does the defensive dirty work, Llamas gives the team a creative edge.
His set-pieces have been particularly dangerous, and his ability to generate opportunities from open play has been critical to Habas’ offensive threat.
Llamas averages roughly four key passes every game, trailing just Madih Talal in the whole league. Coming up against a young Tluanga and an experienced combination of Kauko and Brandon, the Spanish midfielder will be critical to Kashi dominating the midfield against Mumbai City FC.
Jorge Pereyra Diaz (Mumbai City FC)

Diaz has had a rough start to the season, scoring only once in the past seven games for the Islanders. In the 2025–2026 ISL season, he scored his first goal against SC Delhi after missing a penalty against his favorite opponent, Kerala Blasters.
Coming up against an all-Indian defense, Mumbai City FC will be trying to capitalize and score a few goals. Habas’ teams are recognized for their defensive strength and organization, and Jorge Pereyra Diaz’s mobility inside the box against the likes of aggressive Nishchal Chandan and Narender Gahlot will be critical for Petr Kratky’s side to cut through the opposition defense.
The Argentine striker will be seeking to add to his goal tally against Inter Kashi.
