ISL 2025-26: Inter Kashi complete squad for upcoming season

Inter Kashi gets ready to play their debut season in the ISL.
Inter Kashi is preparing for its maiden season in the Indian Super League, which will take place away from home on February 15. The Inter Kashi squad is pumped up for the great challenge, considering they were one of the few teams that were extremely busy during the winter transfer window.
Antonio Lopez Habas’ sides are always recognised for their discipline and basic football, backed by the experienced players in his roster. And, as predicted, that is what they did throughout the transfer window. They then signed six domestic players with previous experience playing in the Indian Super League.
Not only that, but while teams have been hesitant to spend money on foreigners, Kashi has gone on to sign six foreigners for a 13-game season, demonstrating their willingness to excel in their inaugural season.
Inter Kashi and Antonio Lopez Habas have established a formidable 26-man roster for the next season despite a few significant departures. Let’s take a deeper look at the roster and the new players who have joined this winter.
Goalkeepers:

Arindam, Inter Kashi’s club captain, has announced his retirement at the conclusion of the 2025–2026 Super Cup campaign after winning the I-League championship. They have also lost Rakshit Dagar, who played a few games at the conclusion of last season. Shubam Das, who played for the team in the just finished Super Cup, has been retained.
They then acquired Mohit Singh Dhami, a former Jamshedpur FC academy goalie from Diamond Harbour FC. Habas has chosen 24-year-old Spanish custodian Lluis Tarres, who is anticipated to be the team’s first-choice keeper for the season, despite the fact that ISL teams haven’t signed foreign goalkeepers in a significant number of years.
Defenders:

Clubs who go from the second to the first division typically spend a significant portion of their budget on defense in order to create a competitive backline that will allow them to compete against teams by limiting the number of goals they give up. And they’ve done so with the arrivals of Prabir Das, Narender Gahlot, Nishu Kumar, Nischal Chandan, and Wayne Vaz, who bring talent, quality, and experience to the backline.
Despite losing Bijoy, Narayan Das, and Sarthak Golui, they have kept a significant number of their defenders from the previous season. David Humanes, a vital member of the backline throughout their championship-winning campaign, has been retained by them. Sandip Mandi, a reliable player for the Kashi during the previous few seasons, is one of the other important defenders retained.

Midfielders:

Antonio Lopez Habas has decided to completely restructure the midfield, keeping only a few players from the previous campaign. Joni Kauko, Julen Perez, and Nikola Stojanovic are among the notable departures from the club. Indian midfielders SK Sahil and Vikash Singh have also been released, although Tomba Singh, Asif Khan, and Sumeet Passi have been kept.
Sergio Llamas has been recruited to fill the vacuum left by Joni Kauko, who contributed eight goals for Kashi in the previous campaign. Additionally, they have signed Jayesh Rane, who has previously worked with Habas and won trophies.
Forwards:

In the attack, they have kept Mario Barco, who has 31 goals in just 38 games for Inter Kashi. Edmund had left the club to join East Bengal, but they have now signed Rohit Danu to replace him. They have replaced Matija Babovic with Lithuanian National Team striker Nauris Petkevičius. Alfred Planas, a 29-year-old winger, replaces Domi Berlanga, who departed the team to sign with AS Escaldes in Andorra.
Regarding the wings, Ashish Jha has joined the team from Bengaluru FC after spending the previous season on loan at SC Bengaluru. Len Doungel, an extremely experienced winger, has joined to give experience and depth on the flanks. They released Bidyashagar Singh while retaining the services of Prasanth K, who returns after a brief stint with Calicut FC in the 2025 SLK.
