Black Panthers boycott team training after the SC Delhi game

The salary dilemma continues for Mohammedan SC in the Indian Super League 2025-26 (ISL) season. As we saw earlier, last season, the Black Panther suffered a lot from the issues related to financial restraints.

The players from last year’s team had also boycotted the first team training because of the salary dues ahead of the Super Cup previously. A fresh and new controversy has now emerged again.

Big pause for Mohammedan SC

Mohammedan SC players have reportedly boycotted first team training in this ISL 2025-26 season, which remind us of the last year’s situation.

From various sources within the club and a player, this development was confirmed that the players have not received their salaries for a very long time, which could be around a couple of months.

That’s the main reason behind the development and conflict over the wages, not only for players, but also for the staffs as they have not received wages in this season for several months as well.

A verified source exclusively told Khel Now about this situation: ” The players have not received their salaries for a couple of months due to the investor problems inside the club. From the start of the ISL, the club has given salaries to the staff and the players on just one occasion.”

” Players were given a couple of free days of training after the game against Sporting Club Delhi, as they said to the club that if they do not get their salaries, they won’t train. From February, the salaries have been getting delayed,” an exclusive source confirmed.

There is no official confirmation from the Mohammedan SC club authority regarding the delay and dues in payments. But the development indicates that the previous year has severely complicated matters internally and has affected the players for the worse.

Last year with the Shrachi group and Bunkerhill, the same problem occurred. Despite fulfilling over half of the commitments and investments, Shrachi did not revive any kind of shares in the Club.

And right now, that’s the same situation, another time rises up in the club about the investor problems. This boycott could impact the morale of the players as ISL is getting into the business end.

Mohammedan SC have had a very poor season so far. With an all Indian squad, they are currently placed at the bottom of the points table with just three points in their hand, but the current performance has given them hope.

The Black Panthers secured back-to-back three draws in the ISL, which might help them to grow in the race as the relegation sword hangs over their neck.

Mohammedan SC will face Kerala Blasters FC next in an away fixture on 10th May, 2026. But the current scenario might be the negative point after the Black Panthers chariot made some statements.

All fans will keep an eye on this situation as the relegation is on the cards for Mohammedan this season.
