ISL 2025-26: Top 10 Indian players from Matchweek 5

Noufal, Ajsal and Ebindas all made their names on the list
The Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26 is finally up and running after a long delay. We are done and dusted with the fifth matchweek and Khel Now is back with another analysis of the Indian football team players.
This time the names of top ten Indian players have been listed below.
This report has been prepared based on the Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26 Match Week 5 to keep a track of the players’ performance while keeping an eye on the upcoming international assignments.
The top ten players of this week are:
P N Noufal – 8/10 (vs Inter Kashi FC)

Noufal put up another match winning performance for the Islanders this week. He broke the deadlock late in the first half and put his side ahead in the tie. Noufal troubled Inter Kashi with his blistering pace and unmatched trickery on the left flank.
He registered two shots on target along with two key passes and three ball recoveries to wrap up an all-round performance.
Lallianzuala Chhangte – 8/10 (vs Inter Kashi FC)

The Mumbai City FC skipper is experiencing a flawless run of form this season. Everything Chhangte has touched has turned into a goal this season.
He has been the best Indian player so far this season having found the back of the net three times. Chhangte scored the winning goal for his side against Inter Kashi and also executed two key passes in the process.
Muhammad Ajsal – 8/10 (vs East Bengal FC)

Muhammad Ajsal has been the story of Matchweek 5. The young lad came to Kerala Blasters’ rescue in the 92nd minute and pulled a point back with an important equalizer. Ajsal led the line with perfection and repaid the trust that the management had put in him.
He also helped out his teammates at the back and made four defensive contributions.
Rohit Danu – 8/10 (vs Mumbai City FC)

Rohit Danu played as the lone warrior for Inter Kashi against Mumbai City FC. Danu executed three key passes to his teammates inside the box and created goalscoring chances. He attempted two shots on target out of which one ended up in the back of the net.
Rohit’s equalizer displayed Inter Kashi’s resilient fighting spirit irrespective of the opposition.
Hritik Tiwari – 8/10 (vs FC Goa)

Hritik Tiwari was undoubtedly the best goalkeeper of matchweek 5. The shot stopper stood as a wall against Punjab FC and did not let them get the better of his side. Although he couldn’t keep a clean sheet, Tiwari made sure his side didn’t end up as the losing side.
He made four saves, including three saves from inside the box and secured a hard-fought point for FC Goa.
Subhasish Bose – 8/10 (vs Bengaluru FC)

Subhasish Bose continues to impress with his exceptional performances for Mohun Bagan SG. Bose had a very good outing this week as he helped his side keep a clean sheet with his heroics at the back against a mighty Bengaluru FC.
The skipper made nine defensive contributions, including five recoveries and clearances each along with one interception.
Parthib Gogoi – 7.5/10 (vs Jamshedpur FC)

Parthib Gogoi did not score a goal for NorthEast United this week but was still their best Indian player on the pitch. Gogoi did everything right and troubled Jamshedpur FC’s backline to perfection with his swift and quick movements.
He was a livewire on the pitch and two key passes while maintaining a passing accuracy of nearly 85%. Parthib has shown great signs of improvement and has repaid Juan Pedro Benali’s trust in him while silencing all his critics.
Ebindas Y – 7.5/10 (vs East Bengal FC)

The 20-year-old wonderkid put up a performance worthy of a standing ovation. Ebindas played as if he had played a lot of top tier football. He looked fearless and was very clear with his approach.
The attacking midfielder formed a solid partnership with Muhammad Ajsal and racked up an assist in the process. He completed 83% of his passes while recording two key passes.
Bijoy Varghese – 7.5/10 (vs FC Goa)

Bijoy Varghese was among the top defenders this week. He built upon his brilliant performance in the last game and stood tall against FC Goa’s lethal attacking unit.
Varghese 14 defensive contributions, the most by any defender this week. He made ten clearances, seven ball recoveries and three tackles to help Punjab FC get a point against FC Goa.
Buanthanglun Samte – 7/10 (vs Jamshedpur FC)

Buanthanglun Samte was brilliant at the back for NorthEast United against table topper Jamshedpur FC. Samte unleashed his best defensive performance of the season and neutralized Jamshedpur’s attacking unit.
He extended himself in time to make pinpoint tackles and clearances and recorded eight defensive contributions in the process.
