Odisha FC play their first match of ISL 2025-26 season

After a long wait, Odisha FC finally returned to action in the Indian Super League (ISL). The Juggernauts marked their return to the Indian topflight with a goalless draw with the league’s entrants Inter Kashi FC. The visitors started on the front foot with Tomba Singh bringing Amrinder Singh into action early in the first half.

Odisha FC created a couple of chances in the form of Rahul KP and VP Suhair but couldn’t find the back of the net. Isak Vanlalruatfela also tried his own luck but couldn’t get the all-important final touch.

Rohit Danu came up with a few key chances for Inter Kashi but ran out of luck as the game finished 0-0 and both the teams took a point each.

Not much has changed in the points table. East Bengal continue to lead the standings with six points. Mohun Bagan SG hold the second spot. Jamshedpur FC and Mumbai City FC remained at the third and fourth spot with six points each. Bengaluru FC and FC Goa hold the fifth and sixth spot respectively with four points each.

Inter Kashi have not moved from seventh position with two points. Odisha FC take the eighth spot with one point while NorthEast United have been relegated to the ninth place with one point.

Punjab FC are ranked tenth followed by Chennaiyin FC who are placed eleventh. Kerala Blasters take the 12th position while Mohammedan Sporting are placed 13th on the standings. Sporting Club Delhi continue to occupy the bottom place on the table.

  • Dejan Drazic (FC Goa) – 2 goals
  • Miguel Figueira (East Bengal) – 2 goals
  • Jamie Maclaren (Mohun Bagan SG) – 2 goals
  • Sunil Chhetri (Bengaluru FC) – 1 goal

Players with the most assists after matchday 9 of ISL 2025-26:

  • Anirudh Thapa (Mohun Bagan SG) – 2 assists
  • Bipin Singh (East Bengal) – 1 assist
  • Tomba Singh (Inter Kashi) – 1 assist
  • Nikhil Poojary (Bengaluru FC) – 1 assist
  • Pronay Halder (Jamshedpur FC) – 1 assist
