East Bengal FC are the current table toppers of ISL 2025-26

NorthEast United FC finished their 2026 Indian Super League (ISL) campaign with a 2-0 win over Mohammedan SC in Guwahati. The Highlanders wrapped up their season with three back-to-back wins and finished at the ninth position with 16 points from four wins and draws each.

It was a tough season for the John Abraham led outfit by all means, but yet they managed to keep their boat sailing.

Jairo Samperio broke the deadlock in the 19th minute with his third ISL goal before Dinesh Singh doubled his side’s advantage late in the first half. Tondonba Singh, Thoi Singh, Robin Yadav, Parthib Gogoi and Andy Rodriguez also registered a shot on target each, but couldn’t bypass the keeper.

Meanwhile, Mohammedan Sporting have been officially relegated to the second tier after finishing at the bottom of the standings.

Not much has changed on the points table following tonight’s result. East Bengal FC hold the top spot with 23 points while Mohun Bagan SG remained at second with 23 points.

Bengaluru FC held the third spot with 23 points. Punjab FC continued at the fourth position with 22 points. Mumbai City FC remained at fifth with 22 points and Jamshedpur FC completed the top six with 21 points. 

FC Goa are ranked seventh with 20 points while Kerala Blasters FC remained at the eighth position with 17 points.

NorthEast United held the ninth spot with 16 points while Inter Kashi took the tenth spot with thirteen points while SC Delhi remained at eleventh. Odisha FC stay put at twelfth. Chennaiyin FC are ranked thirteenth. Mohammedan Sporting are placed bottom of the standings and have been relegated to the second tier.

  • Jamie Maclaren (Mohun Bagan SG) – 9 goals
  • Effiong Nsungusi (Punjab FC) – 7 goals
  • Dejan Drazic (FC Goa) – 6 goals
  • Matija Babović (Sporting Delhi) – 5 goals

Players with the most assists in ISL 2025-26:

  • Miguel Figueira (East Bengal FC) – 5 assists
  • Ebindas Y (Kerala Blasters FC) – 4 assists
  • Lalremtluanga Fanai (Bengaluru FC) 4 assists 
  • Subhasish Bose (Mohun Bagan SG) – 3 assists
  • Alberto Noguera (Chennaiyin FC) – 3 assists
