ISL 2026-27: Inter Kashi fixtures for Phase 1

Inter Kashi will start their new ISL campaign on 11 October 2026

The 13th edition of the Indian Super League (ISL) is back, with a total of 13 teams participating. The schedule for all fixtures in the first 14 match weeks of the league have been revealed.

The first phase of the league will consist of 14 matchdays, starting on 10th October 2026 and ending on 17th January 2026. The 2026-27 ISL season will kickoff with the first match being played between Bengaluru FC & Sporting Club Delhi at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, scheduled to start at 5:00 PM IST.

The league reverts back to its old home & away format for this season, with each team facing every other team twice, once at their home ground, and once at the away. The league is yet to reveal the schedule for the Phase 2 of the league and the playoffs.

Inter Kashi’s first match in the 2026-27 ISL will be against Kerala Blasters on 11th October 2026, scheduled to start at 5:00 PM IST. The venue for the match remains undecided due to Inter Kashi not having chosen a specified home ground so far.

What do the 2026-27 fixtures entail for Inter Kashi

The Varanasi based team find themselves in a pickle as they currently have a FIFA sanctioned transfer ban on them, as a direct consequence of unpaid wages to players and members of the former coaching staff. The transfer & registration ban would be lifted if Kashi are able to resolve their issues within the guidelines of FIFA and the AFC.

Due to their ban, the team have been unable to make any new signings that can help the team to boost their squad. To add to their misery, many of the team’s players decided to part ways with the club which included all of their foreign contingent during the 2025-26 ISL season.

Players such as Alfred Planas, Sergio Llamas, Nishu Kumar, Nishchal Chandan, Rohit Danu, Sandeep Mandi, etc. who were crucial for the team in their previous ISL campaign decided to leave the club before the start of the 2026-27 ISL season. The team have not played any games during the pre-season over the summer.

The team are in turmoil as despite their best attempts, they are yet to decide a venue that will host their home games in the ISL next season. The team played their home games at both the Ekana International Stadium in Lucknow & the Kishore Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata. The venue most likely to host the team’s home games in the ISL 2026-27, is the Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Ranchi.

The team were only able to manage 3 wins out of their 13 matches in the 2025-26 ISL. The 3 wins included a 2-1 win against both Kerala Blasters FC & Chennaiyin FC & a 1-0 victory against now relegated Mohammedan SC.

For the 2026-27 season, Inter Kashi will hope to outwit their opponents and try to get as many points as possible, before they are allowed to bring in reinforcements to bolster their squad. The team’s current head coach Abhijit Mondal will have a huge task on his hands, as he will have to ensure the team do not lose their footing against better opponents.

Inter Kashi’s fixtures for the Phase 1 of ISL 2026-27

Inter Kashi will play 8 of their home games in their first 8 matches of the ISL and will then play 4 away matches to round out the Phase 1 of their 2026-27 campaign on matchday 14.
