ISL 2026-27: Mohun Bagan fixtures for Phase 1

The Mariners will start their season against the Highlanders in an away clash

The announcement of the fixtures for the first half of the 2026-27 Indian Super League (ISL) campaign has allowed Mohun Bagan supporters to realise what their schedule looks like for the first few months of the new campaign.

The Mariners are raring to go in the upcoming ISL season, as they are absolutely desperate to dominate proceedings under new boss Panagiotis Dilmperis. The Kolkata giants are also hoping to reclaim their ISL title after having lost the 2025-26 ISL championship to rivals East Bengal on the basis of an inferior goal difference.

Mohun Bagan will be kicking off their campaign against NorthEast United FC on 12 October (2026), with the match set to be held at the Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati. The Marineers’ first home match, however, is poised to take place on 26 October (2026) – as their home matches have had to be delayed because of the Durga Puja festivities that will be happening in the city before that.

Here, we look at Mohun Bagan’s key fixtures for the first phase of the 2026-27 ISL.

How does Mohun Bagan’s fixtures for first months of 2026-27 ISL look like?

As it has already been confirmed, the 2026-27 Indian Super League will return to its original format where every team plays each of their opponents both home and away. That means there will be 24 matches that a team will play in the league phase of the ISL campaign, giving them a stronger chance of winning the ISL League Shield and also qualifying for the playoffs.

The Mariners are poised to travel away from home for their first two matches of the campaign in tricky tests against NorthEast United and SC Delhi (16 October, 2026). That is followed by three back-to-back home matches, but it can be argued that Mohun Bagan’s first major test of the 2026-27 ISL campaign will be the much-awaited Kolkata derby, which takes place on 29 November (2026).

Indeed, the first Kolkata derby of the campaign between the defending champions, East Bengal, and Mohun Bagan will be one where the Red & Gold Brigade are the designated ‘home’ team. After that, the schedule gets trickier for Mohun Bagan heading into the festive period of December.

After a match against Inter Kashi (5 December, 2026), they are poised to face a number of challenging matches in the ISL towards the end of the year. They will be hosting Bengaluru FC at the Salt Lake Stadium on 9 December (2026), before travelling away to face Mumbai City FC (17 December) and FC Goa (22 December).

The match against the Gaurs will also be the final ISL match that will take place before the league goes on a 10-day-long winter break, allowing some rest for the players.

Mohun Bagan’s final match in the first phase of the 2026-27 ISL campaign will be at home against Kerala Blasters on 10 January (2027), also marking their first match of the new year.
