The action in the MG Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 continues, as SC Delhi will play against Mumbai City FC on 1st November 2026 at the Mumbai Football Arena in Andheri, Maharashtra. The match is scheduled to be played at 5:00 PM IST.
The Islanders are yet to win a game in their new MG ISL 2026-27 campaign. Mumbai lost their first match 2-1 to newly promoted Churchill Brothers, and then went on to draw their next two games, 1-1 against Punjab FC & their most recent 0-0 draw to Chennaiyin FC.
SC Delhi on the hand, have suffered similar feats, as they lost their first two games of the season, 3-2 to Bengaluru FC & 1-2 at home to Mohun Bagan SG. Against FC Goa, SC Delhi drew the match with a score line of 1-1, after conceding a late goal scored by Álex Vallejo.
Both teams head into the match hoping to mark their first wins of the new MG ISL season.

Mumbai City FC
Under their new head coach Manolo Marquez, Mumbai City FC have been nothing short of disappointing in their 3 games. Mumbai City started their season off with a 2-1 loss against Churchill Brothers in Goa, where their only goal was from a Penalty scored by Sergio Llamas in the 95th minute of the game.
They next travelled to Delhi to play against Punjab FC, where they blew a 1-0 lead in the 90th minute of the game. Leandro Otormin scored another Penalty for the Islanders in the 65th minute of the game, after Noufal was fouled in the Punjab FC box by Bijoy Varghese.
In their most recent match against Chennaiyin FC, Mumbai seemed to struggle during the entire game, as the Marina Machans completely dominated the full 90 minutes. The Centre-back pairing of Lazar Ćirković and Carlos Delgado was Mumbai’s only saving grace, as the Chennaiyin came close to scoring on multiple occasions.
SC Delhi
The Capital club have had a rough start to the season, as they lost their first two games of the season by blowing a lead during the game.
The opening game of ISL 2026-27 ended in heartbreak for Delhi, when they blew a 2-1 lead, where they conceded two goals within the last 15 minutes of the game. SC Delhi in their next match lost to Mohun Bagan despite going 1-0 up at home in 23rd minute, courtesy of a Lalrinliana Hnamte goal.
In their most recent game against FC Goa, they conceded a goal in the first half, which was later disallowed. Their only goal came through Juan Peña, who scored due to a misplaced pass by Udanta Singh. After their goal, SC Delhi parked the bus, which worked in their favour until the 95th minute, when FC Goa scored a late equalizer.

Carlos Delgado
The 36 year old has been Mumbai’s saving grace in the season so far. The Spaniard came from Odisha FC, carrying experience of defending in the Indian Super League.
In their game against Punjab FC, Carlos was tasked with marking Raphael Messi Bouli, which he did to a great extent, stopping the Cameroonian striker from scoring. Carlos was also exceptional in Mumbai’s game again Chennaiyin FC, as his positioning, tackling and distribution have been of huge help the Manolo Marquez.
His biggest responsibility against SC Delhi would be to stop the goal scorers like, Juan Pena & Rodriguinho. A clean sheet may be in the stars for the Spaniard, as his centre-back partnership with Lazar Cirkovic was enough to keep Chennaiyin FC at bay for 90 minutes.
Lalrinliana Hnamte
Lalrinliana Hnamte has been the silver lining for the dark cloud of SC Delhi. He has proved himself to be the most valuable new signing in only the first two games.
In his first game for SC Delhi against Bengaluru FC, the 23 year old provided an assist to Rodriguinho to equalize the game 1-1. Against Mohun Bagan SG, Hnamte’s goal gave SC Delhi a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute of the game.
The Midfielder has made over 5 goal contributions for the Capital team since signing for them. He has also started every ISL game so far, meaning that Tomasz Tchorz has kept his faith in him and has given him the freedom to help out the attackers in every way possible.
